PM: Media Plays Key Role in Informing Citizens About Global War Impacts

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has underscored the critical role of the media in conveying an accurate picture to citizens regarding global developments and the economic repercussions of ongoing conflicts. Speaking at a press conference in the presence of a host of ministers, Madbouly highlighted the importance of explaining the impact of what he described as the US-Israeli-Iranian war and the resulting global economic challenges, including rising prices and inflation.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli emphasized that media outlets must help clarify that the current crisis is affecting countries worldwide, not just Egypt. The premier noted that the government’s efforts to explain the situation may sometimes be perceived as deflecting responsibility, underscoring that media institutions play a key role in presenting facts objectively and raising public awareness.

He also shed light on remarks made by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, who called on citizens to reflect on the major transformations taking place regionally and globally, affirming the state’s commitment to overcoming this crisis. Madbouli added that the government is working with economic stakeholders to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices and currency fluctuations, noting that coordinated efforts are underway to contain inflation and ease burdens on citizens.

Madbouli urged media outlets to highlight both domestic measures and stricter steps taken globally to address the crisis, stressing the necessity of informed and comprehensive media coverage to help citizens understand the broader context of these global challenges.
