This was discussed during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to review the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development's vision and work plan for the next three years.

The Prime Minister noted that a three-year budget framework based on the state's economic program is scheduled to be presented to Parliament, stressing the need to move swiftly on these important issues. During the meeting, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development reviewed the ministry's future vision for the next three years, explaining that the main determinants of the ministry's direction and work plan in the upcoming phase are based on the directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the government in its new formation.
The minister added that the ministry's plan focuses on achieving economic development and maximizing production, strengthening energy resources, ensuring food security, and investing in human development. It also includes improving the economic situation, continuing the implementation of the state ownership policy, increasing private sector participation in economic activity, and expanding into new areas to support the economy, particularly in information technology, rare minerals, and related industries, along with encouraging innovation and financing its research and applications.
He further stated that the key determinants of the ministry's future plan include raising growth rates across various sectors, including ports and logistics, industry, agriculture, tourism, communications and information technology, and investment. Additionally, the plan emphasizes enhancing citizens' health and facilitating access to medical services, as well as sustainably advancing the education system in all its aspects. These determinants also stress that the citizen is the top priority, meaning a focus on improving the quality and efficiency of all services provided to the public.
