Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired an expanded meeting to follow up on the executive and financial situation of the first phase of the presidential initiative "Decent Life," in the presence of a number of ministers and senior officials.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli stated that the meeting is part of regular efforts to oversee project implementation, emphasizing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to allocate additional financial resources to ensure the swift completion of first-phase projects and their operation according to set timelines.
The premier highlighted that the additional funding is intended to eliminate obstacles and speed up implementation, enabling the immediate handover of completed projects to deliver services to citizens in rural areas.
Cabinet Spokesman Mohamed el Homsani shared a report during the meeting, indicating that 22,557 projects have been completed out of 27,332 targeted in 1,477 villages across 20 governorates, with 17,204 projects already delivered.
The report also noted accelerated completion rates between January 25 and February 24, 2026, including the finalization of work in 15 villages, the completion of 239 projects, and the delivery of 204 of them across various sectors. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the financial position and allocations required to finalize the remaining priority projects under the first phase.
