PM Attends Opening Session of 24th COMESA Summit on Behalf of Sisi


Nairobi: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli took part, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in the opening session of the 24th Summit of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) in Nairobi.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the summit was attended by a number of heads of state and government from COMESA member countries, alongside a host of high-level guests and officials. Egypt’s active participation in the 2025 COMESA Summit underscores the Egyptian leadership’s commitment to advancing economic integration among member states, fostering development, progress, and prosperity to meet the region’s aspirations.



COMESA aims to boost intra-regional trade, enhance joint investment opportunities, and strengthen the role of the private sector in driving economic growth. Member states are making substantial strides to strengthen economic ties and enhance regional cooperation and integration across Africa’s diverse economic blocs.



Egypt continues to work on strengthening its trade relations with African nations, leveraging its active membership in key regional and continental economic organizations, foremost among them, COMESA.
