Cairo: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met this evening with Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, to review the implementation status following the launch of the first edition of the National Narrative for Economic Development.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat reviewed the implementation status of the community dialogue and various sessions following the launch of the first edition. These discussions were part of the “Participate in the Narrative” campaign, which has seen more than 68,000 chapters of the narrative downloaded. The sessions involved relevant ministers, economic experts, private sector representatives, parliamentarians, party representatives, writers, and intellectuals.
Dr. Al-Mashat also highlighted the most prominent recommendations and proposals from the working group on the narrative chapters. The implementation program of the National Narrative for Economic Development for the period 2026/2027-2030/2029 was also reviewed, which is based on a program and performance approach.
The minister explained that the program’s priorities include enhancing macroeconomic stability and financial sustainability, increasing competitiveness and productivity, and creating a competitive business environment to boost private sector participation. It also aims to encourage technological transformation, innovation, and entrepreneurship, develop the foreign trade system, maximize foreign exchange resources, invest in human capital, and improve citizens’ quality of life. Empowering women and youth, achieving social justice, and transitioning to a sustainable green economy are also key priorities.
