King Tutankhamun’s Artifacts to Be Displayed Together for First Time at Grand Egyptian Museum


Cairo: The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is set to make history by displaying the complete collection of King Tutankhamun’s artifacts together for the first time. Issa Zidan, the Director General of Restoration and Transport of Antiquities at GEM, announced that the collection, comprising 5,398 pieces, will be showcased in one location.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the artifacts have been gathered from several locations, including the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the Military Museum, and the city of Luxor. This marks the first occasion where the entire collection will be housed under one roof, making the Grand Egyptian Museum a singular destination for enthusiasts and scholars alike.



The exhibition halls at the museum are equipped with cutting-edge technological innovations and modern display vitrines. These facilities are designed to meet the highest museum preservation standards, providing an optimal environment for the protection and display of the artifacts. The initiative ensures that the collection is preserved in conditions that uphold its historical and cultural significance.
