Cairo: Head of the General Intelligence Service Hassan Rashad met with a high-level South Sudanese delegation led by Tutkew Gatluak, security adviser to South Sudanese President Salva Kiir. During the meeting, Rashad emphasized the imperative of addressing regional crises through peaceful and diplomatic means, stressing Egypt's commitment to strengthening cooperation with South Sudan at both bilateral and multilateral levels, particularly on matters related to Nile water resources.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in resolving issues impacting the region. Both parties agreed on the necessity of enhancing dialogue and working together to ensure stability and development across the region. The meeting highlighted Egypt's proactive role in fostering strong ties with South Sudan, aiming to address shared challenges and opportunities.
