Giza: Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem has affirmed the ministry's commitment to providing comprehensive support to manufacturers and eliminating obstacles to ensure uninterrupted production. He emphasized that supporting domestic investors and safeguarding production continuity are key responsibilities of the ministry.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Hashem's remarks were made during a visit to a factory specializing in automotive glass and aluminum. Accompanied by Giza Governor Ahmed El-Ansari, Hashem also monitored construction progress at a glass factory in the Sixth of October Industrial City. These visits are part of a series of field inspections of factories and industrial zones aimed at reviewing production processes and identifying manufacturers' needs on the ground.
During the visit, Hashem was joined by Nahed Youssef, Chair of the General Authority for Industrial Development, along with several senior ministry and governorate officials. The tour began at the Delmar factory, which spans over 45,000 square meters with investments totaling 10 billion Egyptian pounds, providing approximately 3,000 jobs. The facility boasts an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons.
Hashem reviewed production lines and various manufacturing stages, including aluminum sections and coatings, architectural and automotive glass, and cladding panels. He observed the production of high-performance architectural glass using advanced automated machinery and decorative glass production through roller printing.
The minister highlighted the importance of enhanced cooperation with electricity distribution companies, industrial developer companies, and the Teben Institute for Mineral Studies to fully support investors, ensure the availability of local raw materials, and boost the competitiveness of Egyptian products both domestically and internationally.
Additionally, Hashem inspected the construction of the Darwish Glass Factory, which covers 2,520 square meters with investments amounting to 60 million Egyptian pounds. The factory is set to produce 200,000 automotive glass pieces per year. Hashem assured that all necessary measures have been taken to connect electricity and commence operations immediately, adhering to the project plan.
