Cairo: The House of Representatives approved the formation of the Ethics Committee during the first session of the third legislative term, under the chairmanship of MP Mohamed Eid Mahgoub, head of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee.

According to State Information Service Egypt, committee members include MPs Amr Roshdy, Mahmoud El Shamy, Hassan Omar Hassanein, Mohamed El Salehi, Sherine Alish, Mahmoud Ali Ahmed Abdel Aal, Hossam Khalil, Mostafa Badran, Mohamed Fayez Barakat, Mostafa Mahmoud Mohamed Mostafa, Sanaa El Saeed, Hanan Sabry, Ali Khaled Khalifa, and Asmaa El Gamal.

The formation of the Ethics Committee is part of efforts to regulate parliamentary work and ensure adherence to rules of conduct within the House, in accordance with the bylaws of the House of Representatives.
