New capital: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar held a high-level meeting on Thursday, January 29, 2026, with a senior Turkish delegation at the ministry headquarters in the New Capital.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdel Ghaffar emphasized that the project enjoys direct support from the political leadership and represents a major step forward in advanced medical care, research, and high-level medical training, aiming to become a leading regional healthcare hub.
The Ministry’s Spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar highlighted that the project improves healthcare services, establishes a world-class research center, meets growing health demands, and promotes medical and training tourism in Egypt.
The meeting also underscored the strong Egyptian-Turkish cooperation in healthcare, with Egypt benefiting from Turkey’s experience in managing large medical cities and public-private partnerships.
