Cairo: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates is actively monitoring the ongoing developments in the United Republic of Tanzania. Haddad Abdel Tawab el Gohary, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad, emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to staying informed about the situation.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Ministry is in continuous contact with the Egyptian Embassy in Dar es Salaam to assess the conditions of the Egyptian community in Tanzania. Gohary highlighted the importance of coordination between the Ministry and the embassy to ensure the safety of Egyptian nationals.
The Foreign Ministry has issued a caution to Egyptians residing in Tanzanian cities, urging them to remain at their residences and minimize movements unless necessary, in accordance with guidelines from Tanzanian authorities. Gohary stressed the need for vigilance and advised the community to adhere strictly to the safety instructions provided.
In cases of emergency or necessity, Egyptian nationals in Tanzania are encouraged to reach out to the embassy staff in Dar es Salaam for assistance and support. The Ministry reassures that it remains available to help its citizens during these uncertain times.
