FM Reaffirms Egypt’s Full Condemnation of Iranian Attacks on Gulf States, Jordan

Riyadh: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's full condemnation and categorical rejection of the heinous Iranian attacks on the brotherly Gulf states, Jordan, and friendly countries. Abdelatty made the remarks during his participation in the consultative ministerial meeting hosted by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the capital, Riyadh, with the participation of the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting addressed the rapidly evolving regional developments and ways to deal with the current military escalation. Minister Abdelatty called for the immediate cessation of these unjustified violations, which threaten regional security and stability, constitute a grave breach of international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness, and undermine efforts aimed at prioritizing the diplomatic track.

He also affirmed Egypt's absolute solidarity with the countries affected by the attacks, stressing Cairo's support for all measures taken to safeguard their sovereignty, protect their citizens, and preserve their stability. He reiterated that Arab national security is an integral part of Egypt's national security, warning of the serious political, security, and economic repercussions of the continuation of this escalatory approach, as well as the threat it poses to maritime security.

The meeting witnessed unanimous condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the brotherly Gulf states, Jordan, and a number of friendly countries. Participants stressed the need for an immediate halt to these attacks, while jointly emphasizing full respect for the principles of good neighborliness and strict adherence to international law. The discussions also reflected full solidarity with brotherly countries in confronting these threats.

The ministers unanimously condemned the Iranian attacks on civilian and residential facilities, as well as infrastructure and energy installations, warning of the catastrophic consequences of these violations on the security and stability of the region.
