Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty stated that Egypt will persist in its endeavors until the attacks on brotherly nations cease and the war concludes. Speaking at a Ramadan Iftar banquet he hosted on March 17, 2026, Abdelatty addressed an audience of senior journalists, media professionals, diplomats, and political science professors, highlighting the escalating costs of war with each passing day, a situation unsustainable for the long term.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty provided a detailed briefing on Egypt's stance since the onset of the ongoing regional crisis. He reiterated Egypt's steadfast commitment to the security and stability of the Arab Gulf states, which he described as an essential component of Egypt's national security.
