FM Directs Intensifying Monitoring of Egyptian Expats

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met with senior officials of the ministry and the consular sector to review ongoing regional developments and their implications for Egyptian communities abroad. During the meeting, the minister directed that daily meetings be held with heads of Egyptian diplomatic and consular missions in the region to closely monitor the situation of Egyptian nationals residing or stranded abroad amid the current regional developments.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty instructed officials to facilitate the issuance of emergency entry visas to Saudi Arabia for Egyptian citizens in Gulf countries through land border crossings, expressing appreciation for the ongoing coordination with Saudi Arabia in this regard. The minister further emphasized the need to streamline consular procedures for Egyptians abroad and provide consular services with the highest level of efficiency, stressing that heads of diplomatic and consular missions must personally oversee service delivery mechanisms and monitor citizens' satisfaction with the services provided.
