FM Conveys President Sisi’s Greetings at AU Summit Sidelines

Addis ababa: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the Prime Minister of Italy, the secretary general of the United Nations, and the presidents of Ghana, Kenya, Gabon, Tanzania, Somalia, Djibouti, and the Comoros on Saturday. This diplomatic engagement took place on the sidelines of the African Union Summit and the Africa-Italy Summit held in Addis Ababa.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Foreign Minister affirmed Egypt's commitment to strengthening its bilateral ties with its African sister nations across different sectors, promoting development and stability on the continent. This commitment underscores Egypt's strategic focus on fostering strong regional partnerships and supporting collaborative growth efforts.

The Italian prime minister and African leaders reciprocated by asking that their greetings and deep appreciation be conveyed to President Sisi. They praised his role in supporting security and stability in Africa and the Middle East region, recognizing Egypt's significant contribution to regional peace efforts. The leaders also expressed their aspiration to continue coordination and joint cooperation to serve mutual interests, highlighting the importance of sustained dialogue and collaboration in addressing shared challenges.
