Cairo: The Ministry of Finance announced the issuance of treasury bonds with a total value of 40 billion pounds.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the average yield on two-year treasury bonds reached 21.76%, with a maximum yield of 21.87% and a minimum of 21.52%. The average yield on three-year bonds stood at 20.74%, with a maximum of 20.85% and a minimum of 20.55%.
The Ministry noted that the average yield for five-year treasury bonds was 19.57%, with a maximum of 19.65% and a minimum of 19.25%. Meanwhile, zero-coupon treasury bonds recorded an average yield of 22.53%, a maximum of 22.63%, and a minimum of 22.3%.
Last Monday, the Ministry offered bonds with varying maturities: two-year, three-year, five-year, and zero-coupon bonds with values of 8, 20, 5, and 7 billion pounds, respectively.
