Finance Minister Highlights Strategic Goal to Enhance Public Satisfaction with Tax and Customs Services

Cairo: Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk has announced that the government's strategic goal is to enhance public satisfaction with tax and customs services, aiming to attract new taxpayers voluntarily and expand the economic base. Kouchouk shared these insights during an annual iftar banquet organized by the general union of finance, taxes and customs workers, led by Adel Abdel Fadil. The gathering was attended by Labor Minister Hassan Raddad, Youssri El-Sharkawy, Head of the Egyptian African Businessmen's Association, alongside other senior officials from the Finance Ministry.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Kouchouk emphasized the essential role of employees in serving the public and simplifying procedures, while supporting state institutions to better meet the needs of citizens. He highlighted the importance of their contribution in driving the economy and enhancing production and exports. The minister also pointed out that the initial package of tax facilitation remains a powerful motivator for building a trusted partnership with the business community.

Adel Abdel Fadil, head of the union, expressed the union's commitment to supporting effective fiscal policies and promoting tax and customs facilitation. He noted that such measures are crucial in simplifying procedures, reducing burdens, and improving services for everyone's benefit. Abdel Fadil also emphasized the union's role in promoting workplace stability, protecting workers' legitimate rights, and advocating for their demands to enhance job satisfaction.
