Cairo: Egypt’s Ahmed Shalaby claimed silver in the +100kg category at the 17th Wushu World Championships in Brazil, lifting Egypt’s medal tally to three – two silver and one bronze.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Ali Nasser also secured silver in the 48kg category after Yemen’s contender withdrew, while Menatala Mohamed earned bronze. Egypt is competing in both sanda and taolu events with a 10-athlete squad.
