Egypt’s 101st Convoy Delivers Over 780,000 Tons of Aid to Gaza


Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) dispatched on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, its 101st aid convoy to the Gaza Strip, carrying urgent humanitarian assistance and bringing the total aid delivered to Gaza to more than 780,000 tons since the start of the Israeli war in October 2023.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the convoy includes 131,000 food parcels, 800 tons of flour, 1,340 tons of medicine and relief supplies, 280 tons of personal hygiene items, 50 tons of water, and 1,000 tons of fuel. To address harsh winter conditions, the convoy also carried 19,700 blankets, 22,200 winter clothing items, 4,000 mattresses, and 2,280 tents, providing essential shelter and protection for displaced families.



Marking the launch of its 100th aid convoy on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, under the Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza initiative, the ERC issued a report highlighting its ongoing humanitarian efforts in supporting the strip. The initiative was launched on July 27 and has continued sending convoys to the present day, reflecting Egypt’s continuous support for the Palestinian people since the outbreak of the war in October 2023.



According to the ERC, the Zad Al-Ezza convoys have delivered more than 234,000 tons of comprehensive aid, including over 7.8 million food parcels, 1.2 million bags of flour, 1.16 million baby formula packages, 1,400 tons of medical supplies and medicines, 1.9 million personal hygiene kits, and 18.2 million litres of fuel.



With the onset of severe cold waves in Gaza, the ERC intensified its efforts by sending consecutive relief convoys under the Zad Al-Ezza initiative. These convoys carried essential winter supplies, including 1.1 million blankets, 37,000 mattresses, 9.7 million winter clothing items, 800 mobile toilets, and 186,000 tents. In addition, the Humanitarian Kitchen in Sheikh Zuweid has provided over 700,000 dry meals, 500,000 hot meals, and more than two million loaves of bread since October 2023.



The ERC reaffirmed its commitment to continue its humanitarian role and national responsibility in supporting the Palestinian people and responding to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. In coordination with relevant authorities, local and international organizations, and UN agencies, the ERC said it will continue its efforts to ensure the uninterrupted flow of aid to alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s population.
