Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent on Sunday, March 8, 2026, launched the 151st 'Zad Al-Izzah . From Egypt to Gaza' convoy, carrying urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as part of its ongoing efforts to coordinate assistance to the enclave.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the convoy included tens of thousands of aid items, comprising more than 86,865 food baskets, around 250 tons of flour, over 260 tons of relief supplies, and about 800 tons of fuel. Winter aid, including tents and warm clothing, was also included.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been stationed at the border since the crisis began. The Rafah Border Crossing has not been completely closed on the Egyptian side, and the organization has maintained readiness at all logistical centers. More than 65,000 volunteers have helped deliver over 800,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid since the onset of the crisis.
