Egyptian Minister of Industry Visits Muscat to Strengthen Bilateral Ties


Muscat: Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, arrived in Muscat, the Omani capital, on Monday, December 22, 2025. He led a delegation of business leaders to take part in the Egyptian-Omani Business Forum.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this visit, at the invitation of Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, reflects the deepening partnership between Egypt and Oman. During the visit, El-Wazir is scheduled to meet Al Yousef, followed by discussions with Omani Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali. They will explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in industry and transport.

The Egyptian minister will also meet with several Omani officials, including Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, President of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Presid
ent of the Oman Investment Authority; Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah Governorate. These talks will focus on potential joint projects between Egypt and Oman.
