Bamako: Egyptian Ambassador to Mali Mohamed El-Gamal received the three Egyptian nationals following their release, checking on their health condition and reviewing the circumstances they had faced in recent weeks.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the step comes as part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates' continued follow-up and its consistent efforts to safeguard the rights of Egyptians abroad, in addition to ongoing coordination with Malian authorities to ensure their safety and secure their return.
The embassy also successfully organized and secured the return of two other Egyptian citizens who had been stranded in the city of Nioro, located 435 kilometers from Bamako. Their travel was arranged after full coordination with the Malian authorities to guarantee their safe arrival.
The ministry, through the Egyptian Embassy in Bamako, renewed its call on all Egyptian nationals residing or present in Mali to fully comply with local laws and regulations, carry identification documents at all times, exercise maximum caution, and avoid travel outside the capital or between provinces at the present time for their own safety.
