Cairo: Egypt has voiced deep concern about the serious military escalation in the region, warning of the risks of expanding conflict and the potential descent into widespread chaos with serious consequences for regional and international peace and security.

According to State Information Service Egypt, in a statement issued Saturday 28/2/2026, the foreign ministry reaffirmed that political and peaceful solutions remain the only viable path to stability, stressing that military options would only lead to further violence and bloodshed.

Egypt strongly condemned Iran's targeting of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of several Arab states, including Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan, describing such actions as a serious threat to Arab and regional security.

Cairo emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states, upholding the principle of good neighborliness, and exercising maximum restraint to prevent further escalation and safeguard regional and international stability.
