Cairo: Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hani Sewilam engaged in discussions with Marwan AlRaggad, Executive Director of the Inter-Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to enhance cooperation in water management.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Sewilam emphasized Egypt’s dedication to strengthening ties in water management, while AlRaggad reiterated the network’s interest in participating in joint projects aimed at improving water use efficiency.
The discussions also included preparations for the upcoming 37th General Assembly and executive meetings of the Islamic Water Network, scheduled to take place during Cairo Water Week. Additionally, the talks explored potential collaboration in areas such as training, water reuse, and the integration of water, energy, food, and ecosystems (WEFE Nexus).
