Egypt and Bahrain Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties and Gaza Situation


Al-ula: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty stressed Egypt’s pride in its historic and close relations with Bahrain. During talks on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Abdelatty conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s greetings to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and affirmed both countries’ commitment to deepening political, economic, and investment cooperation, alongside boosting high-level exchanges to serve common interests and enhance joint Arab action.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the Munich Leaders Meeting in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia. The two ministers reviewed the latest developments of the Israeli war on Gaza as Abdelatty highlighted Egypt’s efforts to secure a ceasefire, facilitate humanitarian aid, and reject any displacement of Palestinians from their land. For his part, Zayani relayed King Hamad’s greetings to President Sisi, affirming Bahrain’s appreciation of the distinguished ties with Egypt.
