Cairo: The Ministry of Education and Technical Education launched an awareness campaign titled "Towards a Positive Learning Environment" at the beginning of the second semester. The campaign aims to support the psychological and social climate within schools, in collaboration with UNICEF, following the directives of Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel-Latif.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the campaign includes training 1,000 social workers to promote a positive environment within educational institutions, as well as raising awareness among children about their psychological and physical rights. It also aims to teach students how to express any inappropriate behavior they might encounter, while reinforcing positive values and conduct.
The campaign focuses on several key areas, including teaching students values of mutual respect and acceptance of others among students, promoting the concept of positive behavior as an alternative to negative actions, raising awareness of rights and responsibilities within the school, and creating a safe, bully-free learning environment. It also aims to foster self-confidence, a sense of safety, and belonging, as well as develop effective communication skills to prevent peer conflicts.
The campaign also seeks to train students in self-management, encourage teamwork and responsibility, and enhance self-discipline and commitment to school rules.
