Cairo: The Education Development Fund (EDF), affiliated with the Cabinet, organized a grand celebration under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouli to distribute Cisco global license awards to top students participating in the “Your Digital Summer” initiative. This initiative aims to build a digital generation capable of global competition.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Secretary General of the EDF Dr. Rasha Saad Sharaf, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Development and Director of the Operations and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools Dr. Amr Basila, and Regional Director of Cisco Academy in Egypt Ahmed Farouk. A number of education and communications leaders and technology experts also attended the event.
Dr. Rasha Sharaf, the Secretary General of the EDF, explained that the initiative successfully trained more than 130,000 trainees in just two months in globally sought-afte
r specialties. She noted that 300 international licenses to practice the profession were awarded to outstanding students, fully funded by the EDF in partnership with Cisco International.
