Cairo: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zahir, convened with several commanders from the Second and Third Field Armies at the Ministry of Defense's General Secretariat headquarters.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this meeting, held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with other high-ranking officials. During the meeting, Zahir extended the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the military personnel.

The defense minister addressed ongoing international and regional developments impacting Egypt's national security and engaged in dialogue with Armed Forces personnel, listening to their perspectives and questions concerning regional events. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high morale and enhancing both professional and physical readiness among combatants. Zahir praised the relentless efforts of the Armed Forces in the Second and Third Field Armies to protect the nation and safeguard its interests.

In a gesture of solidarity, the defense minister joined the military personnel for the iftar meal and participated in the Maghrib prayer.
