Paris: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour stated that cooperation between the Egyptian and French education systems is experiencing an unprecedented growth, supported by strong political backing from Presidents Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Emmanuel Macron, who have made education a key focus of their bilateral relations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during his visit to Paris, Ashour highlighted the launch of new joint programs and protocols in higher education and scientific research, including French-language programs in medicine, engineering, and law at leading Egyptian universities.
He explained that the partnership now between both countries focuses on joint degrees, student exchanges, scholarships, and applied research.
The minister also mentioned the growing presence of French higher-education institutions in Egypt and expanding cooperation with UNESCO, emphasizing that these efforts aim to modernize education, develop practical skills, and better prepare graduates for the changing labor market.
