Cairo: Consul General of Egypt in Hong Kong, Baher Sheweikhi, urged Egyptian expats to exercise their constitutional rights and vote in the upcoming House of Representatives election, scheduled to take place at the Egyptian Consulate in Hong Kong next month.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Sheweikhi was speaking during a series of meetings in early October with a group of prominent figures and members of the Egyptian expat community in Hong Kong, as part of his regular meetings to follow up on their conditions.

He emphasized the Consulate’s commitment to providing all facilitations to Egyptian citizens to speed up and streamline consular services, and ensure prompt response to inquiries submitted via the consular emergency line, which is available around the clock.

Sheweikhi also touched on the initiatives launched by the Foreign, Emigration and Expatriates Ministry, including those announced after the 6th edition of the Egyptians Abroad Conference, held in Cairo on August 3-4.
