Luxor: Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdallah and Governor of Luxor Abdel Mottaleb Emara attended the inauguration of the second “Arab Conference on Combating Fraud” in Luxor on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The conference is scheduled to take place from January 29 to 31, 2026, under the patronage of the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt.
According to State Information Service Egypt, over three years, the conference will hold several sessions covering technical, legal, and banking topics, including the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analysis in detecting fraud. Luxor’s governor welcomed the participating Arab experts and bankers and praised the efforts of the Union of Arab Banks in promoting and exchanging experience to unify efforts against the challenges witnessed by the financial sector in legislation, digital transformation, and financial fraud prevention.
Emara attended the first session, which provided an overview of activities related to combating fraud in the Egyptian banking sector.
