Cairo: The annual inflation rate in December 2025 was reported at 10.3%, a significant decrease from 23.4% in November of the same year, as announced by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
According to State Information Service Egypt, CAPMAS attributed this decrease to a reduction in various prices. Notably, the prices of poultry and meat declined by 1.1%, while dairy, cheese, and eggs saw a reduction of 2%. The cost of fruits decreased by 1%, and vegetables by 2%, contributing to the overall decline in inflation.
Additionally, the prices of electricity, gas, and fuel also saw a reduction of 1.6%, further aiding in the decrease of the inflation rate.
