Cairo: Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly chaired the government’s weekly meeting on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting focused on a variety of political, economic, and social issues, along with reviewing the implementation of presidential directives.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Cabinet’s agenda included discussions on the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Lebanon aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation. The government also addressed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to meet citizens’ needs, curb inflation, and enhance spending on health, education, and social protection sectors.
The Cabinet examined the regulation of markets, ensuring food commodity availability, and the progress of national projects across governorates. Discussions also covered expanding social protection measures, supporting the most needy citizens, and advancing education and health initiatives. Furthermore, the meeting aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030 plan, focusing on comprehensive development, increasing investments and exports, and localizing industries.
Additionally, the Cabinet reviewed past actions related to investment, industry, and export promotion, as well as expanding agricultural land and providing industrial land to investors. The meeting also covered issues related to the social safety net, tax matters, and development across various state sectors, emphasizing support for low-income groups and addressing citizens’ needs.
