Cairo: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, Ashraf Salem Zaher, met with fighters from the Third Field Army and the East Canal Counter-Terrorism Forces. The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa, service commanders, and senior military officials.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Commander of the Third Field Army Ahmed Mahdy Sarhan emphasized the commitment of the army's personnel to maintain combat readiness and efficiency under all circumstances. Zaher conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's greetings and appreciation to the troops, recognizing their efforts in safeguarding the nation and protecting its sanctities. He also extended his greetings for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.

The defense minister highlighted the sacred duty of defending the homeland, stressing the need for constant readiness to face challenges. He affirmed the capability of the Armed Forces, equipped with advanced armament systems, to secure all strategic borders. Zaher also praised the efforts of the Third Field Army and East Canal Counter-Terrorism Forces in fulfilling their missions and supporting the development process in Sinai.
