Armed Forces Signal Department Secures Strategic Agreements with NAT, RSGT, and SCCT

Cairo: The Armed Forces Signal Department has entered into pivotal agreements with the National Authority for Tunnels (NAT), Red Sea Container Terminals (RSGT), and Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) to advance Egypt's communication infrastructure. Director Hani Mahmoud Mansour and Mohamed El-Sayed Ahmed Saqr, Head of the Central Administration for Electrical Power at NAT, have reached an accord to deploy a wireless communication network system for the Line 4 Metro Project. This project is part of the broader Unified National Network for Emergency Services and Public Safety.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the initiative aligns with directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to leverage the Unified National Network for Emergency Services and Public Safety. This effort is integral to Egypt's strategy for digital transformation across multiple sectors. The Line 4 Metro Project is set to be the first among four metro lines in Egypt to utilize fourth-generation (4G) communication technology, heralding a new era of modern communication systems within the Cairo Metro.

In addition to the metro project, Mansour has signed agreements with Kaho Wong, CEO of RSGT, and Khalid Zayed, Head of the Security Sector at SCCT. These agreements focus on implementing the National Emergency and Public Safety Network services at Ain Sokhna Port and East Port Said Port. The initiatives are designed to introduce secure 4G communication services, thereby enhancing operational efficiency, improving response times, and bolstering safety and performance standards at these critical ports.
