Al-Mashat Commends Korean Ambassador for Enhancing Egypt-Korea Relations


Cairo: Dr Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, met with His Excellency Kim Young-hyun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cairo, as he concludes his term in Egypt. She expressed gratitude for his efforts and contributions to enhancing bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Korea in various areas of mutual interest.



According to State Information Service Egypt, Al-Mashat highlighted the significance of the South Korean President’s visit to Egypt last November. This visit reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to strengthen their bilateral relations and work towards a more prosperous future. The minister emphasized Egypt’s dedication to further developing these relations in the coming years.



Korea has recognized Egypt as a strategic partner in development cooperation for the period 2020-2025. Both governments aim to build upon this partnership, focusing on progress and joint efforts that align with development priorities. The leaders of both countries are determined to expand their relations and explore new areas of cooperation.



In October, Al-Mashat participated in the Korean Embassy’s celebration of South Korea’s National Day, which marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. During this time, she also engaged in discussions with the South Korean President’s envoy to explore the future of bilateral relations, focusing on shared priorities.
