Berlin: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk traveled on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, to Berlin to participate in Fruit Logistica 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for fresh produce, held from February 4-6.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the visit supports Egypt’s strategy to expand agricultural exports, which surpassed $11.5 billion in fresh and processed products in 2025. The minister is set to meet with global companies and investors in agro-processing and packaging to present investment opportunities in Egypt’s new national agricultural projects.
Farouk will also tour the Egyptian pavilion, featuring top exporting companies, to provide support aimed at easing access to European and Asian markets. He noted that the exhibition offers insight into the latest agricultural technologies and AI-driven supply chains, highlighting Egypt’s strong reputation in crops such as oranges and potatoes and the country’s commitment to meeting the highest global quality and phytosanitary standards.
