Cairo: The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has announced that it will host its 33rd Annual Meetings (AAM2026) in Egypt's New Alamein city from June 21 to 24, 2026. The event will focus on the theme 'Intra-African Trade and Industrialization: Pathway to Economic Sovereignty.'
According to State Information Service Egypt, the AAM2026 conference will gather heads of state, policymakers, development finance institutions, and international partners. The discussions will aim to find ways to strengthen economic sovereignty, accelerate transformation, and enhance regional value chains through intra-African trade and industrialization.
Afreximbank previously held its 32nd annual meetings in Abuja, Nigeria, in 2025.
