Egyptian diplomat says Russian tourism important for Egyptian tourism market

Egyptian Ambassador to Russia Nazih el Nagar asserted the Russian tourism is important for the Egyptian tourism market.

That came in an interactive dialogue the diplomat held with some representative of major travel agencies in Russia on Saturday 10/12/2022.

The Foreign Ministry said on “Facebook” that Nagar reviewed efforts exerted to restore Russian tourism flow to high rates and required steps to further up the Russian tourist movement.

The dialogue touched on efforts to promote for Egyptian tourism destinations and places of attraction, including historic and cultural places.

Head of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority Amr el Qadi was present.

PM: State spares no effort to develop administrative work

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said the State spares no effort to develop the administrative work, with a view to improving the quality of the services offered to citizens.

Madbouli made the remarks while he was opening the new building of Suez City Hall.

Suez Governor Abdel Meguid Saqr said the new building includes a multi-purpose hall for hosting meetings, conference and various events, a VIP hall and the governor’s office, as well as a number of local departments.

The premier also witnessed the inauguration of the upgraded technology center at the Suez City Hall, asserting the State pays great attention to building further technological centers that serve citizens.

Suez governor noted that the center is equipped with 12 windows for offering different services, a waiting hall, electronic guiding screens and a central control room to link it with all local departments, as well as with the main system of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

Saqr stated the center has special equipment to serve the elderly and people with special needs.

PM: State made significant shift in streamlining gov’t services

The State has made a significant shift in facilitating public services without any direct contact between the public servant and the citizen to close the door on any suspicions of corruption, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Saturday 10/12/2022.

Madbouli was speaking to journalists during a press conference on the margins of his visit to the Governorate of Suez where he inspected some important development projects and had a meeting with a group of lawmakers representing the governorate at the two chambers of the parliament.

He said some pre and post-1973 residential cities in Suez had never seen any development; therefore, their infrastructure is decaying.

Upon the request of the Governor of Suez, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has given directives to immediately work on developing 35 residential areas in the governorate, the premier said, noting that development works are already complete in as many as 17 areas, and the other areas will follow suit within few months.

Madbouli noted that residents of squatter areas, where development works would not be fitting, will be relocated to adequate housing units in new urban areas, just like those who benefited from Asmarat, Bashayer El Khair, and Ahalina projects.

During his visit to the Suez Canal governorate, Madbouli also paid an inspection tour of a new sports city and a sports medicine hospital.

PM inspects residential buildings of 24th of October City in Suez

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday 10/12/2022 inspected the residential buildings of the 24th of October City in Suez governorate after being developed.

Deputy Suez Governor Abdullah Ramadan said this project is part of a plan to develop three cities that comprise 125 apartment buildings housing nearly 25,000 people.

On his part, head of the engineering division of the Third Field Army said the project’s development works included painting the facades, changing the water and sewage pipes, installing a rainwater drainage network, paving some old axes, cultivating green spaces, establishing a five-a-side football pitch and a playground, and building a shopping mall with 60 shops.

PM inspects Suez-Ain Sokhna Road

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inspected Saturday 10/12/2022 the Suez- Ain Sokhna road, wrapping up his tour in the Suez governorate.

Madbouli stressed the importance of developing the Suez- Ain Sokhna road, as it deemed as a vital axis, linking several development areas, including ports and SCZone.

The premier was briefed on the development works, being implemented in the road, along 60 kilometers, widening the road and its traffic lanes, as well as separating the lanes of trucks away of the passenger cars.

NCW head says misconceptions should be changed to ensure women’s empowerment

President of the National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsi on Saturday 10/12/2022 stressed the importance of changing misconceptions and behaviors as the main factor to ensure women’s empowerment and gender equality.

Addressing a meeting hosted by the World Bank on policies to end violence against women, Morsi reviewed Egypt’s achievements, policies, laws, and protection measures to end violence against women.

The National Strategy for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2015-2020 was a landmark for Egypt aiming to pave the way for an inclusive full-fledged approach to coordinate and consolidate all the concerned stakeholders’ efforts of ending violence against women, Morsi told the participants via video-conference.

Egypt has also launched the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2030 in line with “Egypt Vision 2030”, depending on four main axes: political, economic, and empowerment, along with adopting protection measures from all forms of violence, she added.

PM inspects all-out medical complex in Suez

Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli inspected Saturday 10/12/2022 the all-out medical complex in Suez during his tour in the Red Sea governorate, along with ministers and officials.

Belonging to the presidential initiative of the universal health coverage, the complex is deemed as one of the national projects for the Health Ministry.

Madbouli directed to speed up the work in this facility to be operational in the set timetable.

The overall implementation rate of the 427-bed medical complex stands at around 90 percent, Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar told Madbouli.
