HM King congratulated by Arab Parliament Speaker

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated by Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Abdulrahman Al Asoomi, on Bahrain obtaining the Tier Status 1 in the US State Department’s 2022 report on human trafficking for the fifth consecutive year.

 

Al Asoomi also congratulated the Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on this occasion.

 

He affirmed that this achievement comes as a result of the insightful vision of HM the King and the efforts of the government headed by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which made the Kingdom assume the position at regional and international levels.

 

The Speaker expressed great pride in the achievements made in various fields that were reflected in the stability and prosperity witnessed by the Kingdom.

Serbian president receives El- Sisi at presidential palace in Belgrade

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received here on Wednesday morning 20/7/2022 visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the Serbian Presidential Palace, announced Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.

President Sisi, who arrived in the Serbian capital Belgrade on Tuesday19/7/2022, is set to hold intensive talks with Serbia’s president, in addition to the country’s parliament speaker, during which they will discuss means of bolstering political and economic relations between both countries.

Egypt condemns attack targeting Iraqi police forces in Salahuddin province

Egypt has strongly condemned a terrorist bombing that occurred in Salahuddin province and resulted in the killing of several members of Iraqi police forces, a press release by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday20/7/2022.

“Egypt extended its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy for the government and people of Iraq as well as the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery,” said the ministry.

Egypt supports the measures taken by Iraq to safeguard its security and stability, the ministry added.

Two Iraqi Federal Police officers were killed and four others injured in clashes with Daesh elements in Salahuddin province, an Iraqi security source said on Wednesday20/7/2022.

PM greets El- Sisi on July 23 Revolution’s anniversary

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli sent on Tuesday19/7/2022 a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi on the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious July 23 Revolution.

The prime minister hailed the revolution’s major achievements in terms of strengthening the principles of equality and freedoms, as well as the changes it brought to Arab and African regions, and the third world countries to defend the freedoms of peoples.

Madbouli wished the president and the great Egyptian people more progress and prosperity.

Egypt Air to operate 14 flights on Wednesday to bring back home Egyptian pilgrims from Saudi Arabia

Egypt Air will operate on Wednesday20/7/2022 14 flights from the Saudi cities of Jeddah and Medina to bring back home Egyptian pilgrims.

The national flag carrier said in a statement onTuesday19/7/2022 that six flights will be operated from Jeddah to Cairo, five from Medina to Cairo, a couple of flights from Medina to Luxor, in addition to a single one from Jeddah to Alexandria’s Borg El Arab.

According to the statement, the flights will ferry back 3,195 Egyptian pilgrims.

Culture min kicks off Cairo Int’l Biennale of Children‘s Art

Minister of Culture Enas Abdel Dayem kicked off the second edition of Cairo International Biennale of Children‘s Art here on Tuesday19/7/2022

 

The event is held under the auspices of Egypt’s First Lady Entisar El Sisi with the participation of a host of respective officials and key figures.

 

A total of 688 children and people with special needs from 25 countries participate in the event, which lasts until August 18 and is held at the galleries of Mahmoud Mukhtar Museum.

 

The minister said the event is an international artistic one that opens new horizons for communication between Egyptian children and children from other countries.

 

The minister extended thanks to the first lady over supporting children and people with special needs.

PM reiterates need to abide by precautionary measures

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Wednesday that a new surge in coronavirus infections entails commitment to applying all precautionary measures, atop of which wearing face masks.

Madbouli also reiterated the need for citizens to get jabbed, stressing that his government is acting to secure the different Covid vaccines.

The prime minister was speaking during a meeting with acting health minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar to review the situation of the pandemic in Egypt and abroad.

For the fifth week in a row, the number of infections continues to increase worldwide, Abdel Ghaffar said, pointing out that the latest drop was recorded in March.

The number of Covid cases has upped by 15 percent during the week from July 4 until July 10, while deaths went up by 7 percent compared with the previous week.

At home, infections also rose during the 28th week of the year 2022 in the period from July 10 through July 16, the minister said, citing data from 542 hospitals across Egypt.

So far some 38 million persons have received Covid vaccine at 1,393 vaccination centers across Egypt, the minister told Madbouli.

He also put the premier in the picture about occupancy rates at isolation hospitals of the Health Ministry, which do not exceed 12 percent for ICU beds and 4 percent for ventilators. Those are satisfying rates, Abdel Ghaffar noted.

Positive Covid cases are required to isolate for a minimum of five days from the date of testing and should continue to wear face masks for another five days after healing, the minister advised.
