159th Zad Al-Ezzah Aid Convoy Enters Gaza

Rafah: The 159th humanitarian aid convoy has begun entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land port's gate toward the Karm Abu Salem crossing for final delivery into the Strip. An official source said the "Zad al-Ezzah" convoy carries significant quantities of food, flour, fresh bread, medicines, tents, and fuel. All trucks undergo inspection by Israeli authorities before entering the territory.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Israeli forces had previously closed Gaza's access points on March 2, 2025, following the end of the first phase of a ceasefire. On March 18, 2025, the truce was breached by heavy bombardment and renewed ground incursions into areas previously evacuated. Aid delivery resumed in May 2025 through a mechanism involving a US security firm.

Following mediation by Egypt, Qatar, and the US, an agreement based on the Trump plan was reached on October 9, 2025. The second phase commenced on February 2, 2026, completing prisoner exchanges and allowing the wounded to enter Egypt for treatment via the Rafah crossing.
