Cairo: Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel el Wazir, emphasized the necessity for the Suez Canal Company for the Development of Maritime Ports to increase its project implementation across multiple sectors. He highlighted the urgency for the company to adopt mechanisms that would ensure significant progress in developing, managing, operating, and maintaining maritime ports and terminals both domestically and internationally.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Wazir made these remarks while presiding over the Ordinary General Assembly meeting of the company. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Osama Rabie. Wazir underscored the crucial role of the company in providing logistics services and activities related to maritime, land, and rail transport.
During the meeting, the company's financial position and final accounts were approved. The chairman of the company presented a comprehensive report detailing the company's efforts and major achievements throughout the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. The report also covered decisions made by the Board of Directors and outlined the company's administrative and organizational progress, as well as the status of contracts and agreements.
The chairman further reviewed the implementation status of the projects the company had contracted.
