Damascus: Syrian Arab Army Air Force Commander Brig. Gen. Assem Hawari met in Ankara with Turkish Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Sel§uk Bayraktaroglu and Turkish Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Ziya Cemal Kadioglu, following an official invitation.

According to Syrian Arab News Agency, the talks covered a number of shared files and issues of mutual interest.

It is worth noting that Lt. Gen. Sel§uk Bayraktaroglu was appointed last month as Turkey's Chief of General Staff, succeeding Gen. Metin Grak, who retired after the legal service age.
