State-Owned Firms Advancing Industrial Competitiveness to Support Egypt Vision 2030

New cairo: As part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to support local manufacturing and localize modern technology across various industrial and transport sectors, Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Sheimy conducted an inspection tour on Sunday, November 9, 2025, of the ministry's pavilions at both the Middle East and Africa Industry Exhibition 2025 (first edition) and the 6th Smart Transport, Infrastructure, and Logistics Exhibition for the Middle East and Africa 2025.

According to State Information Service Egypt, both exhibitions are held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, from November 9 to 11 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo, under the slogan 'Industry and Transport Together for Sustainable Development.' The event features the participation of around 500 companies from approximately 30 countries, reflecting Egypt's growing position as a regional hub for industry, transport, and investment in the Middle East and Africa.

During his tour, Sheimy emphasized that the participation of companies affiliated with the Ministry of Public Business Sector in both exhibitions embodies the state's vision to achieve integration between the industrial and transport sectors as two key drivers of sustainable development. He noted that such integration contributes to strengthening local value chains, advancing industrial transformation, and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products in regional and global markets.

He further explained that the ministry's pavilions serve as a showcase for the ongoing modernization and development efforts within its affiliated companies, highlighting nationally produced goods that are competitive, high-quality, and aligned with the demands of both domestic and international markets.

At the conclusion of his tour, Sheimy emphasized that the participation of the Public Business Sector in these two major regional industrial events reflects the remarkable progress the sector is witnessing in terms of performance, production capacity, and technological modernization. He added that the ministry is moving steadily and confidently toward enhancing the productive and competitive capabilities of its affiliated companies to support national industry as a cornerstone of building a modern Egyptian economy, in alignment with the objectives of Egypt's Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development.
