The Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA) concluded the Robotics Club initiative in Baqa’a Camp on Monday, as part of the PART project funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The event, organized by Liwan Youth Space, marked the success of the program aimed at empowering Palestinian youth through technological education.

Rafiq Khirfan, Director General of the DPA, praised GIZ’s decade-long support for Palestinian refugees and highlighted the significant role played by the Robotics Club, Liwan Youth Space, and the participating trainees.

He emphasized the importance of the initiative in line with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, particularly regarding youth engagement, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.

Khirfan stressed that over 100 students, both male and female, successfully completed six training courses, focusing on the critical skills needed to excel in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

He urged young people to continue acquiring
technological skills, especially in fields like artificial intelligence and programming, which are key to securing future job opportunities.

He further highlighted the importance of collaborative learning to enhance creativity, transfer knowledge, and boost local youth participation in technology and robotics, ultimately preparing them for the demands of the modern workforce.
