Amman: Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly and his Jordanian counterpart Jafar Hassan witnessed the signing ceremony of 10 documents aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation. This event marked the culmination of the 33rd session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Joint Committee, held in the Jordanian capital.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the ceremony included the signing of an executive program to activate the memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian and Jordanian ministries of endowments. This program was signed by Rania Al-Mashat, Egyptian Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, and Yarub al Qudah, Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply.
Al-Mashat and al Qudah also signed an executive program between the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones of Egypt and the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group for the year 2025/2026. In addition, memorandums of understanding were signed in the fields of consumer protection and local development.
The tourism ministries of both countries agreed on a cooperation framework focusing on the protection and recovery of cultural property, as well as combating the illicit trafficking of antiquities. An executive program for scientific cooperation was also signed between Egypt's National Planning Institute and Jordan's Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
Further agreements included an executive program for cooperation in the field of youth for the years 2025 to 2028. The finance ministries of both nations signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in government procurement, and a high-level dialogue was initiated between the Ministries of Finance of Egypt and Jordan.
