PM Reviews Response of Gov’t Complaints System Nationwide

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Saturday reviewed the response of the Unified Government Complaints System to several cases nationwide. He stressed the importance of stepping up efforts exerted by the complaints system to monitor, receive, and deal with citizens' complaints nationwide, in coordination with relevant authorities to deliver effective responses.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli made the remarks while reviewing a report submitted by Tarek El-Rifai, Director of the Cabinet's Complaints System, for October. Rifai stated that the Cabinet's Complaints System continues to facilitate effective communication with various segments of society, noting that these efforts have yielded coordinated responses from relevant ministries and their affiliated bodies.

Refai reported that the system received and tracked 193,000 complaints, requests, and inquiries in October. After initial review and verification, 144,000 complaints were forwarded to the concerned bodies, while 44,000 were closed centrally before referral.

Rifai highlighted that ministries accounted for 62 percent of all complaints referred to the concerned bodies last month. He further noted that the governorates accounted for 25% of the total complaints referred to competent authorities last month.
