Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, to discuss various work files related to the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company. The meeting included key officials such as Mr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, Engineer Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company, alongside other senior finance ministry officials.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Prime Minister emphasized the government's focus on overseeing the activities of the Administrative Capital Company. This oversight is crucial for the execution of projects and investments aimed at developing the New Administrative Capital as a model for smart, sustainable cities.
Counselor Mohamed Al-Hamsani, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, noted that the meeting included updates on the company's projects, particularly in the diplomatic district. This area features advanced infrastructure and services catering to diplomatic missions, and represents a significant investment in the first phase of the New Administrative Capital.
Discussions during the meeting also covered the company's long-term urban and spatial planning strategies, aligned with Egypt's Vision 2030. Engineer Khaled Abbas highlighted the company's commitment to sustainable urban development and its collaboration with international partners. Notably, there was a recent visit from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to explore urban development cooperation.
Engineer Abbas also mentioned an agreement with Madagascar to form a joint committee for technical cooperation and expertise transfer. This is part of the broader international collaboration efforts focusing on sustainable development, green building, and environmental sustainability.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed recreational, educational, artistic, and sporting projects in the New Administrative Capital, which align with the developmental goals of the project. It also covered the investments being made, job opportunities being created, and service projects activated in different districts, including the government district, as part of the company's future plans.
