Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli's visit to El Araby Group's Research and Development Center on Saturday 11/10/2025 highlighted the state's push for industrial transformation to boost productivity and competitiveness. He noted the increasing global interest in Egypt's home appliance sector and reiterated the country's ambition to become a regional manufacturing hub. During the tour, Madbouli was briefed on the Group's efforts to develop high-quality, locally manufactured products.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli toured design and engineering departments, testing facilities, and labs that simulate product performance across multiple categories. These include 3D printing, prototype modeling, sound and electromagnetic testing, and performance measurement for household appliances, where he said Egypt is moving toward stronger industrial capacity and increasing its appeal to international manufacturers in the home appliance sector.
Additionally, the Premier toured the El Araby Group's design and testing labs, reviewed product development processes, and observed local engineering teams working on next-generation technologies. The facility includes prototype workshops, advanced testing environments, and specialized labs for electronics and appliance performance.
For his part, El Araby Group Chairman Ibrahim El Araby said that the company aims at deepening local manufacturing and increasing exports through research-led product development. He added that the Group works with global brands, including Sharp, Hoover, and Candy, while employing over 46,000 workers across multiple governorates.
Meanwhile, CEO Mohamed Magdy El Araby said that the center turns market needs into engineering solutions, helping to position Egypt as a competitive industrial base.
