New york: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli participated, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in the opening session of the high-level segment of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meetings. The session witnessed the presence of a large number of heads of state, government leaders, and delegation chiefs from around the world.
According to State Information Service Egypt, accompanying Madbouli were Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Egypt's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Osama Abdel Khalek. Upon his arrival at the UN General Assembly Hall in New York, Madbouli met with Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.
The opening session featured keynote addresses by a number of world leaders, focusing on the most pressing global and humanitarian issues of the time.
